“Say the Secret Word” speaks through that Groucho moustache. Once those eyes get your attention, if you listen closely, you hear it whisper, “Art is sometimes on the back of the pay meter at a parking lot in Ireland.”
Roger Leege started out as a painter, printmaker, and analog photographer, earning BA and MA degrees in Visual Arts from Goddard College. During post-grad university study in computer science, he was an early adopter and evangelist for digital art and artists’ tools. His work draws on his past as lawn boy, meat cutter, storyteller, trucker, EMT, carpenter, writer, bass player, embalmer’s assistant, union agitator, videographer, educator, code monkey, and Florida man, in search of the off-kilter and out of place. With gallery, print, and online publishing credits in the US and abroad, he especially enjoys working with writers and the literary press.
