“On The Menu” — Kelsey Nuttall

Think freaks wouldn’t be very picky eaters? They are easily offended—doesn’t matter that we’re on the road to greatness. (Clowns frown at horse meat, the fat lady flips over a bowl of salad, her husband picks at pastas.) The posters say ALIVE, although, they’d rather not be framed that way. ALIVE—like it’s anything particularly un-ordinary. ALIVE: We’re not pulling one over on you.

Kelsey Nuttall is a Washington D.C.-based poet. Her work has previously appeared in The NewerYork, DUM DUM Zine, Rose Red Review, and Silhouette Press.
