“Realejo” – Noa Sivan

My first cultural encounter in Granada—apart from food and language—was the work of a local graffiti artist named Raúl Ruiz, known as El Niño de las Pinturas. His art really moved me. I used to walk all over town looking for his pieces. Not only the big ones, but also the small hidden gems, like this boy’s fading face in the Realejo neighborhood.

Noa Sivan was born and raised in Israel and is currently living in Granada, Spain.
She is a graphic designer and a writer. Her stories were published in Jellyfish review, (b)OINK zine, Lost Balloon, Ellipsis Magazine, FRiGG, and more.
